December (Christmas PJs)

Our Christmas Card.
#MatchingPJs.
#Merry Christmas!

Christmas (Family)

Merry Christmas from the Meneelys!
Us in Arizona.
The other 1/2 in London!

Our nieces and Bob's sister & husband are having an adventurous Christmas in England. We love seeing their FB posts & hearing about their holiday vacation. Christmas hugs to them!

Whether you are miles apart or together... we hope you are feeling the Christmas love this year.
Hugs to you.

December (Pat & Bob)

Harley's cousin, Tippy arrived & they're feeling right at home together. #dognaps
Tippy's parents are here too (aka Bob's parents). Pat, Bob & Tippy drove from California and arrived December 23rd. Happy to have them in Arizona for Christmas!
We attended Christmas Eve service at our church in Ahwatukee.
It was an amazing hour of music and the Christmas story told in the most creative way. Loved it sooooo much!
Family Foto at the manger.
Mountain Park Church.
After church we enjoyed Cioppino (seafood stew) at home. Cioppino was lovingly made by Pat and is a Meneely Christmas Eve tradition. Mmmmmm. Afterwards we went out to tour some Christmas lights.
This house is a neighborhood favorite!
Happy Christmas Eve!

December (Ugly Christmas Sweaters)

Happy National Ugly Christmas Sweater Day!
Yes... we went out with friends looking like this!
The 3rd Friday in December is National Ugly Christmas Sweater Day (apparently since 2011). Of course EVERY day is National Day for something... hahaha! Sometimes I like being goofy & so does Bob. :-)
Love Bob's Santa Puppy Dinner Jacket.
We met Bob's highschool buddy, Phil & his wife Renee for dinner. Phil's Christmas present (AKA BEST GIFT EVER ;-)) was a pineapple personally picked out in Hawaii by Bob. :-)

December (Hike & Bike)

South Mountain trek with my Hiking Hubby and Hiking Buddy.
With friends off on Christmas break it's been fun to meet for various activities. Rich is our 14er guru (completed all 54 Colorado 14ers a few years ago) and he's responsible for getting Bob and I hooked on those 14ers too (though zero happened in 2018). We are looking forward to checking off a few more 14ers in 2019... I am currently at 32 and Bob is at 24.
Christmas break bike ride...
with Santa Claus!
Love that sweater, David. "I Believe!"
We biked with friends to the South Mtn ruins. Funny that it's a stone fireplace in the middle of the desert. So.... "Our smelly cycling socks were hung on the chimney with care, in hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there (with 13 new bikes)! hahaha! #cyclists #christmaslist #newbike #newsocks
And another creative Christmas rider... Anna, one of Santa's reindeers!
Merry biking to ALL and to ALL a good ride!!!

December (Aloha Pilot)

This is Bob's 2nd work flight to Hawaii. His first was to the island of Maui. This trip took him to the island of Oahu (Honolulu). I can tell that I'm soon gonna lose track of which number trip to Hawaii this will be for Bob. Right now each flight as a 757 pilot is exciting... especially when it takes you here! Bob is taking full advantage of his Hawaii line. Here is his photo from the top of Diamond Head. He got up early to see the sunrise, then walked from his hotel down Waikiki Beach to make the trek up this famous landmark. Sooooo cool!
Here's Bob's sunrise photo... it shows the Hilton Rainbow Tower. Funny enough we stayed there on our honeymoon in August of 1999! And come to find out other friends (like Karen) have stayed there too. Hawaii vacations are magical & memorable!
Pineapple smoothie time... Mmmmm!
I know these are work trips for Bob (& he definitely works hard) but you can't feel too sorry for Bob when work takes him to Hawaii!! :-) My Aloha Pilot!

December (Festivities)

Christmas Ornament Exchange Party.
That's a lot of girls & all of them passionate about the outdoors; cycling, triathlons, running & more.
Thanks, Shawna (far right) for hosting a lovely evening at your home. It was great to visit with friends & not in our usual cycling kits or running shoes. :-)
Another festive night... this time with Arizona family. Dinner @ PF Changs followed by the Luminaries at the Phoenix Botanical Gardens.
It's become a family tradition for those of us here to attend this beautiful night. Luminaries, lights music & hot cocoa. Merry Christmas Arizona Style!

December (Sunrise Yoga)

Early morning hike to enjoy a December sunrise with friends...
Robyn, Me, Olivia, Kaylee, Wendy, Anna.
Kaylei (Olivia's daughter) & Matlyn (Anna's daughter) also woke early to join their mom's.
It's our 1st Annual Christmas Sunrise Yoga on South Mountain.
Warrior One.
Tree Pose.
Bow Pose.
Harley Pose. "I'm a yogi too." ;-)
This was our start in the dark. Headlamps & city lights... cool.
Happy Holidays!
After yoga we finished a short hike & then back to our house for coffee, brunch & visiting. Bob got in on the yoga too but he also played photographer. :-) Kaylee's husband Brian stopped over for brunch. A fun & pretty morning!

December (Camping)

Part of the fun of the Dawn 2 Dusk race is camping!
This year the Vitesse mountain biking girls got our team site set up on Friday (day before the race).
Kaylee, Me, Anna & Janet.
Anna brought out her camper, Janet set up her little pop-up and Kaylee drove their sprinter van to McDowell Mountain too.
And our A frame camper! The only thing missing was Bob & Harley. Bob was really sick so he stayed home on Friday to rest with Harley. :-(
Friday Fun hanging out with Brian, Kaylee, James, Janet, Pat & Anna.
Friday Night Lights! :-)
1st time putting Christmas lights on our camper. I love it... think we'll keep 'em for our camping trips year round!
