Happy in the hammock.

Thrilled we brought a couple hammocks to Tahoe this summer. Both fit nicely between the cabin trees.
Now back to my afternoon nap. ;-)

Harley is the best listener ever. Love her.

Much love and thanks to family and friends who have listened to Bob & I over the past month, this recent weekend & today. We've had some soul searching decisions to make. I don't want to go into the details on my blog but I do want to express that it's been an emotional time & a difficult road to figure out. We do have clarity now but that still comes with reflection, sadness & hope. Today was a good day in Tahoe for all of that. Like always...Harley was there.

I interrupt our Tahoe vacation to bring you photos of Taos Pueblo.
Thanks, Martin for a few more pics from your recent Southwest travels.

Love the blue doors contrasting with the adobe walls.

Rio Grande above Taos.
Rio Grande Gorge Bridge and Taos ski fields somewhere in the mountains.

Us! <3
Today we took Janet & Dave + 3 new friends from Phoenix on a hike.
Emerald Bay behind us.
We started at Bliss Beach & walked the Rubicon Trail along the west shore.
Picture perfect day.
Carrie, Michelle & Debbie are staying the week in a vacation home near Heavenly ski resort.
It's their 1st time to Tahoe!
After reaching Emerald Bay by foot (5 miles) we hiked another 4.
This trail took us high above Lake Tahoe.
We wanted to see Eagle Lake & Eagle Falls. It was worth the hike.
Dave & Janet.
Bob after braving the freezing cold water!
Michele, Dave & I took a dip in the water too. BRRRR!
Thankful for this day outdoors.

Why walk when you can run on water! :-)

Thanks to Dave for taking this photo of Bob & I. It's already a favorite from the summer.

Bob made it to the cabin at 1:30am this morning and by 10:00am we were on our favorite bike trail. The Flume!
We took 4 good friends along for the ride!
Janet, Brian, Kaylee & Dave
This long stretch of trail overlooking the lake is so amazing!
Around every corner was another beautiful view.
Can't get over the amount of snow on the mountains.
Cool rocks.
Cool lake.
This was our stop for lunch; Marlette L.
Back on the trail.
Wheeee!
Bob & I love sharing this piece of paradise with others.
Each day is about enjoying the ride!

Looks like a paddling kind of day with my red kayak.
I threw my kayak in the car & drove to Sand Harbor this morning to meet friends; Kaylee, Brian, Ed, & Kyle. Kaylee & Brian used to live in Phoenix but now reside in Boise, Idaho. Ed & Kyle live in Portland. All of them are staying in Incline Village for the week.
Kayaking along the east shore of Lake Tahoe never disappoints.
Love this crazy color & crystal clear water!
Tough spot to grow.
The snow capped mountains around the lake are gorgeous.

The boulders are fun to navigate around...
swim to...
and jump off!
Smiles for miles!

When I returned to Harley at the cabin I connected with more friends; Janet & Dave. They are friends & neighbors from Phoenix. Janet & Dave camped at Fallen Leaf lake last week & have 4 more days in Tahoe before they head back to the oven in Phoenix.
The 3 of us went to The Beacon for dinner tonight. Beautiful evening.
A great day!
