I posted a while back that Abbie & Mike are expecting a baby girl in June. Well, Abbie's brother, Matt (L) & his wife, Kim are expecting their 1st baby also (just 2 weeks after Abbie & Mike)! Matt & Kim were visiting (from Denver) over the weekend so Aubyn, Jerod, Bob & I stopped over to say hello. 

Aubyn & I also played photographers for a mini shoot of the expecting parents.

Jerod & Aubyn plus Bob & I have spent the past 4 days helping Janna & Andrew organize, de-clutter & make a kid's room for Kavan & Riley. We got a lot accomplished & are most proud of the cute bedroom...

Bob & I found the "Good Dinosaur" bedspread at Walmart. LOVE it!

We also found these posters at Walmart. There's Aubyn...the best organizer; she sorted all the toys & created a great system for Janna & the kids. BTW...Jerod & Aubyn have 4 kids of their own so they come with toy experience. :-)

It was priceless to see how excited the kids were when they saw their room for the first time!

Kavan is crazy about dinosaurs & was quick to show us he knows the dinosaur names on the poster.

Riley lined up her Paw Patrol pals on the window shelf. Precious!

We cleared other parts of the house like this office (which was relocated to the master bedroom side area). Then we made the office open for the kids to use for games, reading books & crafts (gonna add a little kid size table).

We hung up paintings & when the new carpet was installed their home looked brand new again. Janna & Andrew are hoping to sell as they want a bigger home for their family. For us it was satisfying to see the transformation throughout but especially the kid's room.

Bob & I attended Easter service at HOPE Church & enjoyed brunch at Carol's with Mom, Joan, Dean, Carol, Paul, David, April, Connie, Jeanne, Janna, Kavan, Riley, Keelan plus Jerod & Aubyn (Janna's brother & wife who are visiting from Iowa). I didn't get the group photo today so just listing all there to remember this lovely Easter.

 Pyramid of the Moon. 

Bob had a 2 night layover in Mexico City so he hopped on a tour bus to see the pyramids NE of Mexico City.

He said he walked 3000 stair steps & hiked most of the pyramids you were allowed to walk up!

I am so happy Bob does this kind of stuff when he stays in interesting places! I just wish I could be on some of these adventures with him! I love this pic by the way! :-)

It was a full day…

Started with a sunrise bike ride to the towers (top L) with Bob.

A trip to Home Depot to buy flowers (top R).

Hours of digging, pruning, raking to get our yard looking pretty (bottom L)

And time with mom enjoying the shade (bottom R). Notice the garden boxes are in place!

Was a beautiful full moon while out riding to the towers this morning.

Then Bob had to pretend he was gonna ride off the ledge making the rest of us yell at him! I know he wasn't as close as it appears but still. :-/

Day 3 of Spring & it sure looks like it around here. Besides the desert in bloom…our rose bushes are happy too.

We are really happy about these cool looking garden boxes that our friend, Dave made for us! Dave had made some similar ones for himself with a wood frame & legs. We wanted steel legs & needed the boxes a bit smaller. Dave did a beautiful job!! Now we'll set them up next to the house, rig the irrigation, fill with dirt, plant the seeds & watch our garden grow! :-)

We're also happy that the hummingbirds have found our bird feeder (it's taken a while for them to notice). I had to be quick to get of pic of this guy "drinking the kool-aid". ;-)

Bob & I have been thinking about getting a small hot tub for our backyard.

I drove to Mesa to check-out this 2 person hot tub. It's the perfect size for 2 & I love that both recliner seats face the same direction.

I found another brand on-line with the same footprint as this one but it doesn't have the brown square accents on the front (that's ok). And it runs on a 110, no 220 required (makes it easier). AND…it's $1000 cheaper at $1999 (great news + free shipping)! PS: Hot tub prices can be outrageous so am very happy with the on-line find.  PPS: Haven't ordered it yet…we're gonna do some more looking but a hot tub like this just may be in our yard soon! :-)

A few of us ended our ride with some short bonus hills. We had a fun group of 18 from Lifetime Fitness who biked 45 miles in Ahwatukee. Temps in the 60's = absolutely gorgeous weather to ride too! 

Later in the day Mom, Harley & I ran some errands. Washing the car was on the list…Harley's least favorite stop. She is not a fan of the noise or the crazy mop swirling around the windows. Sorry Harley! :-/

Look at these fun retro ottomans!! My sister-in-law saw this creative idea on Pinterest & sent me this pic yesterday.

Then…ironically while shopping garage sales with my mom today we found this afghan for sale! I bought it of course ($4)!! But now how do I turn this into a cool ottoman. Pat?!?!
